THINGS TO DO

Leaping
Lamb Farm is a breath of fresh air, literally. It's nestled
in a small creek valley in the middle of the Oregon Coast Range.
The pace is slow and the requirements minimal when you stay with
us.
We provide the perfect place to work on your novel or read a good book.
Walk with us around the property to meet our friendly farm animals,
find trails leading into the surrounding rainforest, and stand beside
the wonderful creek that nourishes our farm all year 'round. Want to
help collect the eggs or feed the sheep? We can always use an extra
hand!
Off the farm there is plenty else to do. Hike
and bike surrounding trails. Fish the Alsea
River in season. Visit
our local nurseries featuring fuschias and organic
herbs. Take
a picnic to Alsea Falls or stop at the historic Hayden
Covered Bridge. Tour the local fish hatcheries or area vineyards.
Alsea boasts a general store, John Boy’s Mercantile,
and a restaurant,
Deb’s Kountry Kitchen, making this a true country
experience.
In
the area for a wedding or a weekend? Use
our cabin as your base and invite friends back for a cocktail on the
deck. You can even drive to the Oregon Coast, only 40 miles away, for
a day of tidepooling, crabbing, clamming, whale watching, or just walking
on the beach.
We want you to
think of this as your place away from home. Whatever you wish to do,
or not do, Leaping Lamb Farm is an enchanting retreat far from a fast-paced
world, a place you will treasure through photographs and memories long
after you have left the Coast Range.
